The competition between the contestants in the Dubai International Competition for the Holy Qur’an reached its fiercest, and the evening witnessed the testing of a new group of competitors in memorizing and reciting the Qur’an, in the presence of the advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Prize for the Holy Qur’an, Counselor Ibrahim Boumelha, and Chairman of the Jury His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Salem Muhammad Al-Dubi Al-Mazmi.

In the Dubai International Competition for the Holy Quran in its 24th session (Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him), the test committee began listening to four new competitors.

His Eminence Sheikh Salah Mahmoud Muhammad Al-Sagheer, a member of the jury, posed questions to the contestants, while Sheikh Abdullah Muhammad Saeed Ba'amran took over the conquest for them, under the auspices of the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, Gargash Projects, and the Dubai Police General Command.

The representative of Pakistan, the contestant, Muhammad Habib Habib, said that he was born in the UAE, and memorized the Noble Qur’an at the age of ten at the hands of his mother who preserved the Book of God, and sealed the memorization within a period of five years.

While the representative of the Congo, Brazzaville Wagi Omar, stated that he came to the country to work in trade, and is studying in the fourth year at the College of the Noble Qur’an at the Islamic University, adding that he began memorizing the Qur’an in school at the age of 16 and sealed it in two years.

The representative of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Shehu Mihola, stated that he was an imam at the Rashid Ali Al-Muzaki Mosque, and a master's student at the University of Bolton in Ras Al-Khaimah, pointing out that he began memorizing from childhood.

The representative of the Ivory Coast, Issa Waghi, stated that he came to the country to work in trade, and to apply to Al Qasimia University to complete his studies, pointing out that he began memorizing the Qur’an at the age of 14 and sealed it in three years.
