Berlin (dpa / bb) - The federal emergency brake has been in force since Friday, but the Berlin Infection Protection Ordinance continues to apply.

According to the Senate Chancellery, it should be adjusted accordingly on Friday - this is planned for the Senate meeting next Tuesday.

Until then there is a transition period during which the regulations stand side by side.

The task now is to change the Berlin Ordinance in such a way that there are as few contradictions as possible.

According to the regulation, for example, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. people are only allowed to be outdoors alone or in pairs.

The federal emergency brake, however, stipulates that exit restrictions apply from 10 p.m. onwards.

You are not allowed to leave your own apartment or property until 5 a.m., with a few exceptions.

There is a corresponding need for adjustment at this point.

If the Senate does not change the regulation here, the Berlin regulation would apply from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and then the regulation under the federal emergency brake - as long as the seven-day incidence is above 100.

One possibility would be to simply delete the Berlin regulation in the regulation.

The Bundestag passed the rules on Wednesday, the Bundesrat let them pass on Thursday.

The law came into force on Friday.

The exit restrictions would take effect in Berlin for the first time on Saturday.

The rule is: If the seven-day incidence (infection within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants) exceeds the threshold of 100 on three consecutive days, stricter measures such as the exit restrictions should apply from the day after next.

That is the case in Berlin.
