Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Saxony-Anhalt's state parliament will meet again on May 27 for an additional session.

The President of the Landtag, Gabriele Brakebusch, announced this on Friday at the end of the last regular Landtag session in Magdeburg.

In the three days of the session since Wednesday, the MPs referred several introduced bills to the responsible committees.

Second readings are necessary for the laws to be passed.

At the last regular meeting, several parliamentarians had already said goodbye with their last speeches before leaving, including the former CDU parliamentary group leader and ex-finance minister André Schröder and the former minister for justice and equality, Angela Kolb-Janssen (SPD).
