Freiburg (dpa / lsw) - As a criticism of the climate summit convened by US President Joe Biden, activists of the Fridays for Future movement also demonstrated in Baden-Württemberg.

Among other things, they went through Freiburg on Friday.

The police spoke of a number of participants in the low double-digit range.

The local group of Fridays for Future tweeted that the protests were directed against the “nice talk” from the Biden summit.

To do this, they used the hashtag «#wirmachenweiterbisihrhandelt», among other things.

Under the motto “No more empty promises”, the movement wanted to take to the streets around the world with creative campaigns for more international climate protection.

The US president met with 40 other heads of state and government for an online climate summit on Thursday and Friday.

It is considered an important preparatory meeting before the UN climate conference, which is to take place in November in Glasgow, Scotland.
