Wolfsburg (dpa / lni) - The Grizzlys Wolfsburg have equalized in the playoff quarter-finals of the German Ice Hockey League against the Fischtown Pinguins from Bremerhaven.
The Lower Saxony defeated the Seestädter 3: 2 (1: 0, 2: 2, 0: 0) on Thursday and equalized the best-of-three series.
On Saturday (5.30 p.m. / MagentaSport) there will be a playoff game in Bremerhaven for a place in the playoff semi-finals.
Grizzly professional Garrett Festerling ensured both the 1-0 lead after 17 minutes and the 3-2 final six seconds before the end of the second period.
Spencer Machacek made it 2-2 (35th).
Because the Pinguins turned the game after the 0: 1 and led through goals from Mitch Wahl (26th) and Miha Verlic (28th) with 2: 1.
However, the penguins did not manage to turn things around again.
