Ehingen (dpa / lsw) - In a pilot project, crane manufacturer Liebherr will be able to vaccinate employees at its plant in Ehingen (Alb-Donau district) from next week.

According to a spokesman, around 2,500 of the roughly 4,000 employees at the site have shown interest.

In the first step, however, it is only the over-60s turn.

The well-known prioritization applies, it said in a message on Thursday.

The vaccinations, which are carried out by company doctors, are expected to start on Monday afternoon.

Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) has announced his visit for Tuesday.

Last week, the state announced that it would also include company doctors in the vaccinations from the summer and test the process beforehand in model projects.
