Al-Gergawi indicated that the campaign of 100 million meals has registered 185,000 donors and contributors to the campaign so far, indicating that 12 food banks, UAE charities and the World Food Program are partners in the distribution in 30 countries.

He added that the contributors, with their cash donations to the 100 million meals campaign, formed a safety net to provide aid and relief and provide food support to the least able groups in the countries covered by the campaign, after the campaign succeeded in expanding its scope to broader geographical horizons, which enabled philanthropic individuals and institutions to reach With their donations to the humanitarian and relief spaces I welcome.

Mohammed Al-Gergawi appreciated the turnout of donors, including individuals, businessmen, companies, commercial groups, the business community, government and private institutions, economic and charitable activities, and community and humanitarian work bodies from inside and outside the country to contribute to the campaign of 100 million meals, stressing that this turnout reflects the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity of the UAE in the face of the humanitarian challenges represented. Distribution of food parcels

In conjunction with its success in achieving a comprehensive community mobility in which individuals and institutions were keen to contribute and donate in support of the campaign that feeds food to the needy in 30 countries, the 100 million meals campaign had already started the distribution of food parcels to the target groups of low-income and lower-income families, orphans, widows, refugees and residents. The campaign is also coordinating with the "World Food Program" to distribute 20 percent of food parcels in refugee and displacement camps in Palestine, Jordan and Bangladesh.

Contributions from all groups 

During the 10 days since the launch of the 100 Million Meals Campaign, the campaign has received cash contributions through the four donation channels from 185,000 institutional and individual donors inside and outside the UAE, and the total value of donations reached 100 million dirhams, equivalent to 100 million meals.

The 100 million meals campaign website, SMS text messages and the Dubai e-payment portal received contributions of 11 million dirhams.

As for direct bank transfers to the campaign’s bank account, they amounted to the equivalent of 40 million dirhams. 

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charitable Establishment and Dar Al Ber were on top of the list of the most prominent institutions that contributed to the support of the 100 million meals campaign, each guaranteeing 20 million dirhams, equivalent to 20 million meals. 


It is noteworthy that the 100 million meals campaign was launched under the umbrella of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which embraces 33 humanitarian, community and development institutions concerned with establishing a culture of humanitarian, relief, charitable and development work and spreading hope thanks to various programs and projects that focus on the less fortunate and the needy and disadvantaged groups in fragile societies. .
