Halland traffic has lost almost half of the passengers during the corona pandemic and in the public transport plan for 2022, savings of SEK 17 million are proposed.

Ten million will be saved by reducing bus trips in the county.

At the same time, it is proposed that the experiment with more trips on the HNJ line between Halmstad and Jönköping be completed, which would save six million kronor.

Train stops at Åsa station are also affected, where savings of one million kronor are proposed.

The proposal is now out for consultation with the Halland municipalities.

In the clip, Andreas Almquist, Hallandstrafiken's CEO, answers why they have to cancel trips.
