22 June 2020 First conviction for the murder of Luca Sacchi.

The Gup of Rome inflicted 4 years in prison on Giovanni Princi, childhood friend of the personal trainer killed last October, accused of attempting to purchase 15 kilograms of marijuana.

Judge Pier Luigi Balestrieri accepted the request of the prosecutor Nadia Plastina who complains that Princi has violated the law on drugs.

Princi, who remains under house arrest, would have acted, according to the investigative hypothesis, as an intermediary together with Luca's girlfriend, the Ukrainian Anastasiya, in the negotiation, which ended in tragedy, for the purchase of a quantity of 15 kilos of marijuana in exchange of 70 thousand euros, with the group of San Basilio, headed by Valerio Del Grosso, the author of the gunshot that killed Luca Sacchi, and by the accomplice Paolo Pirino. For Princi, prosecutor Nadia Plastina had asked for a sentence of 6 years and 4 months in prison.
