Waren (Müritz) (dpa / mv) - The Müritz saga has been canceled for this year.

"After the last decisions of the federal and state governments, it is clear that the implementation of the Müritz saga is not possible under the current circumstances and that we have to postpone this popular theater adventure for another year," said the director and managing director Nils Düwell on Thursday.

He hoped that the sponsors and partners would stay by the side of the event.

«Theater has to show itself!

Artists have to show themselves! ”Emphasized Düwell.

"That is why we will do everything we can in the remaining time up to summer to put together a diverse cultural program for the locals and guests of the Müritz region that will comply with the then applicable laws and pandemic-related rules."

There is no lack of ideas.

Around 20,600 visitors were counted in the 2019 season.

For the 2021 season, the Störtebeker Festival on Rügen had already been canceled.
