Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - According to Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU), around 60 percent of the population in North Rhine-Westphalia can be vaccinated against Corona by July.

In May, the amount of vaccines is still limited, but in June one will have "considerable amounts of vaccines," said Laumann (CDU) on Wednesday in the state parliament's health committee.

Then the vaccination system must also be opened for company doctors.

This means that by then at the latest the prioritization in the vaccination sequence “actually no longer works”, says Laumann.

"We can already manage to vaccinate 60 percent of the North Rhine-Westphalian population by July."
