The last time the Kalmar Region activated the crisis agreement was in January 2021. It was then active for a few weeks, but was never used.

The crisis agreement allows significantly higher compensation combined with longer work shifts.

That it was never activated, despite high load has been criticized by staff.

The Kalmar region has also not given the healthcare staff any extra risk supplements or the like, instead the employees received a digital thank-you email and an offer of a 15-minute massage.
