Dresden (dpa / sn) - After the decision on the nationwide uniform Corona emergency brake, parents and children in many places in Saxony have to be prepared for closed daycare centers and schools from Monday.
The Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday.
With the expanded Infection Protection Act, if the incidence of seven days or more is 100, alternating lessons are mandatory - this applies to all types of schools.
If the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants increases to 165 in a week, classroom teaching must be suspended from the day after the next.
Under this critical mark, daycare centers are allowed to remain open in limited regular operation.
According to the Ministry of Culture, from next week school lessons will only be possible in an alternating model in Dresden, Leipzig and in the districts of Leipziger Land and Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains.
Schools and daycare centers in the other regions have to close.
According to the ministry, exceptions are only provided for the final classes.
This also includes the fourth grade at primary school.
Students are allowed to attend school even if the incidence is above the 165 mark.
On Thursday, the Infection Protection Act passed the Federal Council and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier signed it.
A publication in the Federal Law Gazette was still pending.
