As noted, the meeting of the intergovernmental commission is scheduled for Thursday in Baghdad.
Borisov is scheduled to meet with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
On April 6, it became known that the secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev met in Moscow with the leader of the Iraqi people's militia, Faleh al-Fayyad.
Also in March, the Russian Energy Ministry announced that it was discussing with Iraq expanding the list of Russian oil and gas companies operating in the Middle East country.
