  Balochistan Police Chief Mohamed Rai told local media that the explosion occurred in the parking lot of the Quetta Serena Hotel, where an explosive device was installed on a car in the parking lot.

The police have cordoned off the explosion site and launched an investigation into the explosion.

  A source from the Pakistani intelligence agency said that the explosion sounded loudly, several cars caught fire in the parking lot, and the glass of the Serena Hotel and some nearby buildings was shattered.
