Milan (AP) - The basketball players of FC Bayern Munich are facing the end in the Euroleague playoffs.

The Bundesliga club also lost the second quarter-final match at Olimpia Milan on Thursday evening with 69:80 (29:47) and is 2-0 down in the best-of-five series.

In the first game, coach Andrea Trinchieri's team lost just 78:79 on Tuesday.

Bayern now need three successes to reach the Final Four in Cologne.

After two away games, the next game will take place on April 28th (8.30 p.m. / MagentaSport) in Munich.

The bitter defeat at the beginning apparently had an effect on the Munich team at the beginning.

From a 5: 0 Bayern Munich made a 5:20 within eight and a half minutes.

For a long time, the guests couldn't find a recipe against their former team mate Malcolm Delaney and especially Kevin Punter.

The Trinchieri team was much too hasty in attack in the second round and was far too flawed on the defensive without the ailing defense specialist Nick Weiler-Babb.

The Italians expanded their lead with almost no problems and led to the break with 18 points.

It got better after the break.

If Munich gave up a clear lead in game one, it was the Italians in the second match.

First, the Munich team shortened to 13 points (42: 55/25.), Three minutes later it was only 49:55.

However, Bayern missed getting any closer.

To make matters worse, coach Trinchieri had to leave the arena interior after a double technical foul.

Milan took advantage of the short period of weakness and pulled away again to 72:57 (33rd).

Bayern did not manage to turn things around again.

The best shooter was Wade Baldwin with 23 points.
