The Director of the Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, stated that the perpetrators of driving offenses reckless and reckless and carrying out dangerous demonstration movements with their vehicles will be punished according to the law, stressing that there will be no complacency in applying the law to reckless people who endanger their lives and the lives of others and what they cause Physical and psychological damage, intimidation of pedestrians, threats to their safety, by stopping them, seizing their vehicles and referring them to the judiciary to take legal action against them.


He urged young people not to drive recklessly and recklessly on the roads, and to refrain from conducting dangerous races and parades that endanger their lives and the lives of road users.

He stressed that participating in gatherings, parade and show off driving the vehicle or making dangerous movements, or gathering and participating in watching, or even participating in posting videos containing these actions and races on social media, exposing the perpetrators to legal accountability, calling on parents to monitor the behavior of their children and urge them to adhere to By laws.

He pointed out that the penalty for driving a vehicle in a way that endangers the driver’s life or the lives of others, their safety or security, or driving the vehicle in a manner that would harm public or private facilities entails a fine of 2000 dirhams and (23) traffic points and the vehicle will be seized for a period of (60) days. The financial value of removing the vehicle's seizure is 50,000 dirhams, provided that the vehicle is seized until the financial value of the dismantling of the reservation is paid for a maximum period of three months. In the event of non-payment of the dues, the vehicle is referred for sale in the public auction and alternative penalties are applied in some provisions of misdemeanors, including cleaning public streets as a service.
