Berlin (dpa / bb) - 1135 new corona infections were reported in Berlin between Wednesday and Thursday.

This increased the total number of registered infections to 162,780, according to the Senate Health Administration's report on Thursday.

The day before, there were 1166 newly reported infections.

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Berlin, the so-called seven-day incidence was 134 on Thursday. According to the management report, the value on Thursday was even 147.8.

With the federal law passed this week to tighten the corona measures, from Saturday of this week only the corresponding key figure of the RKI is decisive for easing or tightening.

So far, 3,175 people have died in Berlin in connection with Covid-19.

Thus, six more deaths were recorded between Wednesday and Thursday.

148,683 people are considered to have recovered.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, more than 20 percent of the Berlin population now received a first vaccination, around eight percent also the second.
