Faced with the Covid-19 epidemic and the circulation of new variants, travelers from India will be subject to mandatory 10-day isolation, the government said on Wednesday.

A measure that already concerns travelers returning from Brazil, Argentina, Chile and South Africa.

Travelers from India will now also be subject to compulsory ten-day isolation upon arrival in France, government spokesman Gabriel Attal announced on Wednesday, while monitoring indicators for the Covid-epidemic 19 in France remain particularly worrying.

"For some countries where the health situation is extremely serious and particularly worrying and worrying, we are still tightening the screws", he declared at the end of the council of ministers, announcing that the health defense council had decided in the morning add India to the list of countries whose travelers are already subject to mandatory quarantine (Brazil, Chile, Argentina and South Africa).
