On Tuesday, the National Health Security Agency (Anses) issued its report on the study of possible health risks that 5G waves could represent.

The conclusion being that this technology does not present "any new risks", the moratorium preventing the deployment of 5G in Lille is no longer justified.

This is more or less what the town hall acknowledged in a press release published Tuesday evening.

There was still a lock for 5G to sweep through Lille at the speed of light and it has just been blown up.

As

20 Minutes

had written, the operators have already been ready for a long time.

Their antennas being installed, or in the process of being so, all they have to do is turn them on.

But this will not happen overnight, the operators waiting for the “go” from the town hall even if, legally, they are not required to do so.

“Reinforced constraints” for deployment in Lille

But when will this famous “go” of the town hall take place? If the city takes note of the conclusions of ANSES, it emphasizes that the agency itself recognizes "the lack of scientific studies on the possible health effects of the new frequencies". The town hall will not wait for more complete studies which we do not know when they will be carried out. On the other hand, it is planned to force the deployment of 5G. With the operators, a “joint declaration” will create “reinforced constraints” to prevent in particular possible health risks, but also “climatic and environmental issues”.

20 Minutes

asked the elected official in charge of this question for details on these “reinforced constraints” knowing that the locations of 5G antennas are already defined and available for consultation on the site of the National Frequency Agency (ANFR).

In Nantes, for example, it was decided not to install an antenna near nurseries and schools.

Our request has not yet been acted upon.
