Werther (dpa / th) - A fire in a workshop in Werther (Nordhausen district) caused damage of at least 100,000 euros.
The roof of the hall on the site of a car dealership burned down completely on Wednesday morning, as a police spokeswoman said.
Rapid intervention by the fire brigade prevented the entire building from collapsing.
According to the police, no one was injured.
Highway 3080 was closed during the extinguishing work.
In a message it was said that the police are currently assuming that the fire had broken out on a photovoltaic system on the roof.
The Nordhausen Criminal Police are now investigating the exact cause of the fire.
