On April 17, the FSB of Russia announced the arrest of the Ukrainian consul Alexander Sosonyuk in St. Petersburg when receiving information of a classified nature during a meeting with a Russian citizen.
Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry ordered him to leave the country.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responded by ordering the senior diplomat of the Russian embassy in Kiev to leave Ukrainian territory within 72 hours.
