Berlin (dpa / bb) - Unknowns attacked and robbed a woman in the Neukölln subway station Hermannplatz.

The 57-year-old broke her thigh early Wednesday morning and also came to the hospital for inpatient treatment with a laceration on her head, the police said.

The perpetrators stole money and the woman's BVG monthly ticket.

The attacked woman told the police, according to the statement, that two young men and a woman suddenly attacked her at around 4.45 a.m.

The attack occurred on the level between the platform of the U7 line and an exit.

The perpetrators pushed, kicked and hit them before they fled.

Further backgrounds were initially unclear, the police are investigating.
