Munich (dpa / lby) - Bavaria's Minister of Culture Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) has criticized the regulations of the nationwide Corona emergency brake in schools.

“I think the measures provided for in the federal law for schools are not thought through to the end.

We in Bavaria set higher standards for infection protection than the federal government - we have a mask requirement, test requirement and much more.

Why the federal government wants the incidence limit for distance teaching to be 165, of all things, is not clear to me, ”said Piazolo when asked by the dpa.

Although more face-to-face teaching is more important than ever, the current situation does not offer any room for further school openings, added Piazolo.

The previous regulations would therefore continue to apply to schools in Bavaria for the time being.

Thereafter, with the exception of the fourth and eleventh grades and the final grades from an incidence value of 100, there is usually distance learning.

According to federal law, distance learning should become mandatory within one week from a value of 165 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
