Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In the trial against a suspected IS terrorist and Syria returnee from Leverkusen, the verdict is expected this Wednesday (2.30 p.m.).

The federal prosecutor has demanded four years and eight months imprisonment for the woman.

The accusations of the prosecution have been confirmed.

The defense lawyers requested a maximum of three and a half years' imprisonment and the lifting of the 35-year-old's arrest warrant.

The proceedings before the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court began in February.

The defendant had made a partial confession.

The 35-year-old is accused of IS membership, crimes against humanity, possession of war weapons and breach of duty of care.

She is said to have left for Syria with her then three-year-old daughter in February 2015 and joined the Islamic State (IS) terrorist militia there.
