The coronavirus crisis has weakened many areas.

Including that of freedom of the press.

Via its latest annual report, Reporters Without Borders reports a growing number of countries in which journalists cannot exercise their profession in complete safety.

In 40% of the 180 countries taken into account, the situation is thus considered difficult or even very worrying.

Europe is the most "secure" continent in this area, unlike Africa and Asia.

And if we compare country by country, it is the Nordic Nations that are the most advanced.

At the other end of the rankings, the worst are Eritrea, North Korea and Turkmenistan, where being a journalist is a daily struggle.
