Leipzig (dpa) - Emil Forsberg wants to continue playing for the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and extend his contract.
“Sure, I've been in Leipzig for six years.
But we're talking about football.
Anything can happen, ”said the Swedish international after the 1: 2 at 1. FC Köln.
"We haven't had any talks yet, so I'm not worried about that at the moment."
At first he just wanted to concentrate on football.
Forsberg's contract ends in June 2022, in addition to the playmaker, the future of captain Marcel Sabitzer and national player Marcel Halstenberg is still open.
If Leipzig does not want to lose Forsberg, who was brought from Malmö in January 2015 for almost four million euros, for free, those responsible have to extend it with him this summer or sell him.
