Bochum / Berlin (dpa / lnw) - After the significant disruption in the transmission of the corona case numbers for North Rhine-Westphalia to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), gaps in the municipal data are still recognizable.

In the latest overview of the State Center Health NRW (LZG) on Wednesday, zero reports of new infections are shown for the city of Bottrop and the districts of Höxter and Siegen-Wittgenstein.

A spokesman for the Siegen-Wittgenstein district spoke on Wednesday of 77 reported cases.

He assumes that the seven-day incidence will be between 175 and 180, as in the previous days, instead of the value 136.9 reported by the LZG on Wednesday.

The LZG also has a red warning notice on its website for corona reporting: «Since the evening of April 19, 2021 there have been significant disruptions in the state administration network, so that a large number of reports from the health authorities have not yet reached the LZG.NRW. The given values are therefore unfortunately incomplete, we ask for your understanding. " A spokeswoman for the LZG was unable to provide any information on Wednesday morning as to whether and to what extent the technical malfunction in the transmission of the numbers continues.

According to the data transmitted to the RKI, a seven-day incidence of 170.5 is reported for North Rhine-Westphalia on Wednesday.

That is significantly more than a week ago.

Last Wednesday, the key figure was 148.4.

The RKI shows the number of new infections in North Rhine-Westphalia as 6016 on Wednesday.

However, this should also contain a number of late registrations.

The numbers for NRW were only incompletely transmitted to the RKI on Tuesday due to a technical malfunction.

An overview table showed that no new cases had been included for some large cities such as Cologne, Düsseldorf or Duisburg.

In 16 independent cities and districts of North Rhine-Westphalia, according to the latest RKI figures, the new corona infection rate is above the 200 mark. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days is therefore the highest nationwide in Remscheid, with a value of 291.0.

For the metropolis of Cologne, a value of 190.1 is reported on Wednesday.
