Hanover (dpa / lni) - A 67-year-old was seriously injured in a deflagration in Hanover.

Callers reported two explosions and a room fire, as the fire department announced on Wednesday.

The force of the deflagration pushed a window out of the wall on Tuesday evening;

Shards of glass scattered in the driveway to the building.

A fire broke out in the apartment.

The residents of the apartment building, including the injured woman, took themselves to safety. 

An ambulance drove the 67-year-old to a clinic.

Fire and rescue services were deployed with 51 men.

The damage is estimated at around 35,000 euros.

The cause of the deflagration was initially unclear.
