- It is unusually bad time to come up with this message in the middle of a burning pandemic when the industry is, to say the least, heavily employed.

Making such a decisive decision for Swedish infrastructure is a bad policy, says Robin Holmberg (M), who is both a municipal councilor in Ängelholm and chairman of the owner company of the airport.

The government will appoint an inquiry to develop a plan to close down Bromma Airport as soon as possible.

- We want to close down Bromma Airport and instead secure necessary air traffic at Arlanda, Per Bolund (MP) began.

About half of all traffic from Ängelholm Airport goes to Bromma through the airlines Bra and Air leap.

Sas has departures to Arlanda.

- In that way, we are not as vulnerable as many other regional airports that may only have traffic to Bromma.

But it is a great advantage for us to have the healthy competition and a large range of travel, states Robin Holmberg.

Entered as owner of the airport last year

According to DN, Ängelholm Airport expects to go back SEK 20 million this year.

It was in June last year that the seven municipalities: Bjuv, Båstad, Helsingborg, Höganäs, Klippan, Perstorp and Ängelholm decided that they would become owners of the airport after Peab threatened to close.

Is it a decision you regret in view of today's message that shakes the conditions properly?

- No, and I do not think the last word has been said in the question of Bromma, says Robin Holmberg.
