Berlin / Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The sunshine at the beginning of the week is only a brief foretaste of summer: By Thursday at the latest, people in Berlin and Brandenburg have to be prepared for a lot of wind and rain again.

That comes from the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD) on Monday.

The temperatures should drop to 8 to 10 degrees and only slowly rise again in the next week.

As a DWD spokesman said, there should be the friendliest weather in Prignitz on Tuesday.

The temperatures rise accordingly to up to 17 degrees.

Especially in the south of Brandenburg, however, fog fields are expected in the morning, which could cause poor visibility in traffic.

In the east there will be rain showers in the afternoon.

Also on Wednesday there should initially be fog fields, but they will dissolve in the morning, it said.

The day should start bright and mild in many places.

Only in the evening it rains a little in the northwest.
