Berlin (dpa / bb) - 759 new corona infections have been reported in Berlin.

That emerges from the situation report of the Senate Health Administration on Tuesday.

The day before there were 463 new infections.

The so-called seven-day incidence is 152 - this means that 152 people per 100,000 inhabitants were newly infected within a week.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 160,479 infections have been reported in the capital.

3,163 people died, ten more than the day before.

146 833 people are considered to have recovered.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, almost 20 percent of the Berlin population received a first vaccination, and eight percent also received the second.

In Berlin, several factors relating to the infection situation are taken into account in a traffic light.

The proportion of Covid 19 patients in Berlin intensive care units is still in the red at 26.3 percent, as is the incidence value for seven days.

The R value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, is again in the green area at 1.0 percent.
