The parties participating in the Vienna talks expressed their satisfaction with the progress of negotiations to revive the Iranian nuclear agreement, and for its part, Tehran announced the agreement to form a third technical committee that will be tasked with determining the practical measures necessary to lift the sanctions, and Washington's return to the agreement.

The European Union said that the nuclear deal talks in Vienna will continue next week, and the participating parties announced the postponement of the meetings for a week to allow delegations to coordinate with their capitals.

"Progress has been made in the past two weeks. But there is still a lot of work left to do," Enrique Mora, the European Union's political director coordinating the talks, wrote on his Twitter account.

As Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's ambassador to the Vienna-based international organization, explained, "It has been decided to take a break to allow delegations to consult with their capitals. The committee will meet again early next week."

He added in a tweet on Twitter, "Today, the Joint Committee of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved in the negotiations aimed at reviving the nuclear agreement."

70% advance

In turn, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani confirmed that the Vienna negotiations are witnessing a progress of 70%, indicating that if Washington remains sincere, a result will be reached in a short time, as he put it.

Rouhani added that what he called the failure of the American maximum pressure policies made his country strong in the Vienna negotiations.

The Iranian president stressed that Tehran is not in a hurry about the Vienna negotiations, indicating that it adheres to its position, but will use any opportunity to lift the sanctions.

In the same context, the chief Iranian nuclear negotiator, Abbas Araghchi, said today, Tuesday, that the Vienna talks are progressing despite the difficulties, but he warned that Tehran would stop the negotiations if it faced "unreasonable demands" or a waste of time.

Difficulties and challenges

Iranian state media said, "Abbas Araghi's assessment of the current direction of the talks is that they are progressing, despite the existing difficulties and challenges."

The media quoted Araghchi as saying, "The Iranian delegation will stop the negotiations whenever they go towards additional demands, wasting time, and illogical bargains."

Iran and world powers have met in Vienna since early April to work on the steps that must be taken to return Tehran and Washington to full compliance with the agreement, and the talks touched upon US sanctions and Iran's violations of the agreement, especially with regard to the permissible limit on uranium enrichment.
