"Roskomnadzor sent a demand to the management of Facebook Inc to remove all restrictions on materials containing the Russian anthem, imposed by Instagram under the alleged pretext of copyright infringement," the service's website said.
It is noted that the anthem is not subject to copyright.
The service called on social networks to respectfully treat the official symbols of the country that are significant for Russians.
Earlier it became known that Roskomnadzor will conduct an audit in relation to the Trello service after reports of a leak of personal data of Russians.
