Munich (dpa) - Hansi Flick's farewell tour is about to be completed.

Exhilarated by the mistake of pursuers RB Leipzig, FC Bayern made the penultimate step to the title on Tuesday with the 2-0 (2-0).

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (7th minute) and Joshua Kimmich (13th) made Munich celebrate their 50th Bundesliga win against Bayer Leverkusen.

After the fuss about Flick and his publicly expressed wish for an early termination of the contract in the summer, his stars wanted to make the next victory on the way to the 30th championship in Bundesliga times and thus to make the fifth star.

They quickly made things clear.

On the day of his return to the UEFA Executive Committee, CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was able to look forward to a befitting success in the wake of the turbulence surrounding the Super League.

With their own threesome and Leipzig's mistake at 1: 2 in Cologne, Munich can celebrate their ninth championship title in a row with a win in Mainz on Saturday.

It would be the seventh title with Bayern for national coach candidate Flick.

World footballer Robert Lewandowski should also return to the ensemble against Mainz after his knee injury.

On the perfect Bayern matchday even the clinched Flick and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic cheered together when they gave each other a satisfied clap after the early lead.

Three days after Flick's hotly debated appearance after the win in Wolfsburg, the players did not feel any uncertainty.

Right from the kick-off, the hosts underlined the wish that Flick had formulated shortly beforehand: "It is our goal and our aim to become German champions as quickly as possible."

Since pursuers RB Leipzig had messed up in Cologne two hours earlier, the Munich team knew they had a great chance to further expand their lead.

And Bayern eliminated any doubts relatively quickly.

"We got caught cold," admitted Leverkusen's club boss Fernando Carro at the break.

Before the opening goal, the strong Bayer goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky saved Thomas Müller's shot after a fine cross from David Alaba, but he had no chance against the volley margin from Choupo-Moting.

Even without the Polish star striker Lewandowski, Bayern proved to be on target a second time.

Not even a quarter of an hour had been played when Kimmich increased to 2-0 from 16 meters.

Rummenigge rose from his seat on the otherwise almost empty grandstand and applauded with satisfaction.

He had held back with statements about the cause of Flick since Saturday - his successor Oliver Kahn now spoke up.

“The professionalism now dictates that we concentrate on today's game and then on Mainz, we naturally want to win a title this season.

And after Mainz we will also look for a conversation with Hansi Flick, "Kahn was quoted by the" Bild "newspaper.

The Leverkusen team increased their offensive efforts after the move.

In the first half, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer only had to save seriously against Patrik Schick, whose shot did not cause him any major problems (21st).

The coach Hannes Wolf, on loan from the DFB, brought Karim Bellarabi and young star Florian Wirtz (46th), but the Munich team again had the first opportunities.

Müller missed a good chance to make it 3-0 (52nd).

A little later, a supposed handball by Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba was checked, but there was no penalty (54th).

Now Flick, who had greeted his colleague Wolf with a warm hug before the game, reacted with a triple change and brought in the last ailing Leon Goretzka, the initially spared Leroy Sané and the 18-year-old Tanguy Nianzou, who was from Paris Saint- Germain had come (63rd).

Both teams still had chances - but no more goals were scored.
