Aue (AP) - FC Erzgebirge Aue has not cracked the 40-point mark again.

Coach Dirk Schuster's team lost 1-0 (0-0) against 1. FC Nürnberg on Tuesday.

Robin Hack scored the goal in the 85th minute for the Franks, who had earned the victory due to a chance overweight.

After the twelfth defeat of the season, FC Erzgebirge is still in the middle of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga with 37 points.

Schuster made three changes to the line-up compared to the home game against FC St. Pauli.

Clemens Fandrich, Ognjen Gnjatic and Jan Hochscheidt replaced Philipp Riese (suspended), Louis Samson (bench) and Florian Ballas (injured) in the starting line-up.

After the weak performance in the 1: 3 against St. Pauli, Schuster had announced compensation and a better performance.

However, his team started unfocused and was lucky in the early stages that a shot from an acute angle by Eric Schuranow only hit the left post (7th).

On the other hand, John Patrick Strauss came in the 13th minute to the first dangerous finish for Aue.

The ball was deflected by Georg Margreitter and hit just next to the post.

Nuremberg then remained the better and more active team, but rarely found gaps in the Auer defense.

Only in the 23rd minute did the guests manage to combine again through half of the Saxons.

Mats Möller Daehli put the ball through to Schuranow, who ran alone towards Martin Männel, but shot the ball into the arms of the Au goalkeeper.

While the Schuster team continued to act harmlessly, Nuremberg's full-back Enrico Valentini headed just outside the goal in stoppage time in the first half.

After the break, the game of the Erzgebirge didn't get any better.

The substitution of Ben Zolinski, who came for Hochscheidt (55th), hardly had any effect.

Since the mistakes in the game setup also increased among the guests, the action only took place between the penalty areas.

Nuremberg scored the late goal five minutes before the end of regular time.

Fandrich forged a pass from Tom Krauss into Hack's barrel, which gave Mannel no chance.
