Berlin (dpa) - After Annalena Baerbock and Armin Laschet were proclaimed chancellor candidates for the Greens and the Union, the Forsa polls from the CDU and CSU collapsed - the Greens, on the other hand, moved up to first place.
The Union crashed on Tuesday in the RTL / ntv trend barometer of the opinion research institute compared to last week by seven percentage points to 21 percent.
The Greens shot up by five points and, with 28 percent, displaced the Union from the top spot of the party with the most polls.
The SPD could not benefit from the collapse of the Union - on the contrary: it slipped by two points to 13 percent.
