The US advises against travel in 80% of countries

The United States announces "a significant increase" in the number of countries it advises against traveling because of high risk for the coronavirus. The State Department's updated travel guidelines, "to better reflect" the guidelines of the health authorities (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC), will extend the highest level of alert this week (level 4, "do not Travel ") to about 80% of the countries of the world.

"The Covid-19 pandemic continues to pose unprecedented risks for travelers - the note reads - and in light of these risks, the State Department strongly recommends American citizens to reconsider travel abroad". This does not necessarily entail, Foggy Bottom specified, "a review of the health situation in each individual country, but rather reflects an update of the State Department's Travel Advisory system based on current epidemiological assessments of the CDCs".

India sixth day over 200 thousand cases

For the sixth consecutive day, over 200,000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in India in 24 hours. The Guardian reports it. In the last few weeks alone, the continent has reported a record number of 1.59 million infected. Victims also increased, 1,761 in the last 24 hours, for a total of 180,530.
