Cottbus (dpa) - The Brandenburg Chamber of Crafts present their traditional economic survey in spring today.

It is presented how the individual trades have coped with the year of the corona pandemic so far.

For the autumn survey in October, the craftsmen were cautiously optimistic about the coming months.

At that time, 85 percent of the companies expected the business situation to remain the same or better.

87 percent of all companies described their business situation as good or satisfactory.

In autumn 2019, however, it was 10 percentage points more.

Across the country, 85 percent of the companies were able to keep their workforce, in some cases even to increase it.

The Brandenburger Handwerkskammertag represents the interests of around 40,000 companies nationwide with more than 160,000 employees.

Every year they generate almost 14 billion euros in sales.
