Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) - A cattle truck with about ten cattle drove into the central guardrail on Autobahn 33 near Paderborn-Sennelager.
According to initial findings, an object on the road damaged an 18-tonne wheel on Monday evening, as the police announced on Tuesday morning.
As a result, the 50-year-old driver got off the road with his truck.
The animals therefore had to be reloaded into another vehicle.
According to the police, they were on their way to the butcher.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
The truck was recovered with a crane.
The lane in the direction of Bielefeld was closed until early in the morning.
The police estimate the damage at around 40,000 euros.
The investigations into the exact cause of the accident continued.
