Weißenfels (dpa) - The basketball Bundesliga has to do without its top scorer Michal Michalak for the rest of the month.
The Polish national team of Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels has a corona infection.
The club announced on Tuesday.
The infection was found on Monday by a positive PCR test, Michalak immediately went into quarantine.
The 27-year-old is the best thrower in the league with 20.9 points per game.
Michalak will miss the MBC at the game in Frankfurt on Sunday.
According to the current status, the Guard may be used again against Gießen on May 2nd at the earliest.
For the rest of the team, the positive test has no consequences after consultation with the health department.
Michalak was last in contact with his teammates during the game against Göttingen on April 13th, after which he was free of training.
