It was at 01:00 during the night towards Tuesday that a police patrol was alerted to the bridge that crosses highway 97 via Sävastvägen.

- According to callers, a person was standing on the bridge and shot with a green laser at the passing traffic, says Henrik Fahlén, RLC officer at the police command center.

A person must have suffered some form of eye injury and a report of abuse was made.

The police patrol that went out to the scene wore goggles when they searched and checked people in the area.

At present, there is no suspected perpetrator in the case.

"Anyone who inflicts bodily injury, illness or pain on another person or puts him or her in power or any other such condition is sentenced for assault to imprisonment for a maximum of two years or, if the crime is minor, to a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of six months" , it says in the third chapter, fifth paragraph of the Criminal Code.

Alternative criminal classifications can be aggravated assault, attempted assault or causing bodily harm.
