Aurich (dpa) - A 34-year-old woman has to answer for bodily harm resulting in death before the Aurich district court from Tuesday.

The public prosecutor's office accuses the defendant, who is a German national, of having shaken her baby so hard in November 2017 that the infant died of the injuries.

The act accordingly happened in the East Frisian community of Filsum in the district of Leer.

Several witnesses and experts are invited to start the trial.

A forensic doctor should provide information about the baby's injuries.

The court has initially set three further hearing dates.
