Bleckede (dpa / lni) - A 19-year-old woman was thrown from a van against a bridge railing in Bleckede in the Lüneburg district and fatally injured.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries, as the Lüneburg police announced on Tuesday.
According to initial findings, the van is said to have come off the road in a left curve due to excessive speed.
The vehicle skid, hit a bridge railing and finally landed in the ditch.
The young woman was probably not wearing seat belts and was thrown out of the car against the railing.
The driver was taken to a hospital seriously injured.
