  China News Agency, Taipei, April 18-Two consecutive earthquakes occurred in Hualien County, Taiwan at 10 o'clock in the evening on the 18th, with magnitudes of 5.8 and 6.2 on the Richter scale. There is currently no disaster.

  According to the Taiwan Meteorological Department, the two earthquakes occurred in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County, with an interval of only 3 minutes.

The magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred at 10:11 in the evening, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers, and its epicenter was 19.2 kilometers southwest of Hualien County Government, with a maximum magnitude of 5; a magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred at 10:14 in the evening with a focal depth of 13.9 kilometers. The epicenter was located in Hualien County. 20.2 kilometers southwest of the government, the largest earthquake intensity is 6 weak.

  The United News Network reported that the entire Taiwanese felt the earthquake, and no disaster has been reported yet.

  The China Seismological Network determined that the two earthquakes were 5.6 and 6.1 respectively.

The earthquakes in Fujian, Xiamen and Fuzhou on the west bank of the Taiwan Strait are obvious.
