In Syria, where the civil war continues, a presidential election will be held next month as the term expires.

Incumbent President Hafez al-Assad is expected to run for the election, and while he almost certainly has a military victory in the civil war, he is expected to show off the legitimacy of the administration by winning the election.

The chairman of the People's Assembly, the parliament of Syria, announced on the 18th that the presidential election will be held on the 26th of next month due to the expiration of his term.

Candidates will be accepted until the 28th of this month, and incumbent President Assad is expected to run for the fourth term.

Since the Syrian election law includes a provision that the qualification for candidacy is limited to those who have lived in Syria for 10 years or more, rebels who have fled abroad will be excluded, and President Assad Re-election is definitely seen.

Prior to the country, a vote will be held for Syrian people abroad on the 20th of next month, but a Syrian refugee man living in neighboring Lebanon said, "If you go to the embassy, you may be able to vote. I don't feel like voting for President Assad's winning election. "

Talks have been held over the civil war in Syria, mediated by the United Nations, with the participation of the Assad regime and rebels, but the most recent meeting ended in a farewell and the path to a political solution remains unclear.

President Assad is expected to show off his legitimacy by winning elections as the Assad administration almost certainly wins the military.
