Most of the reactions were positive, but due to the reactions Oscar Wallén decided to take the opportunity.

- My boyfriend was in the store a lot in the beginning.

We offered Wienerbröd at the entrance, were Easter boys and offered sweets.

In connection with that, people got to meet both of us and ask the questions they wanted and there was not much to gossip about, says Oscar Wallén.

Furthermore, he says that it is not very strange that people react, but that this is how we humans do when something is new or different.

No meeting place for LGBTQI people in Västmanland

In Västmanland, there is currently no meeting place for young LGBTQI people.

It shows a new report from the Agency for Youth and Civil Society Affairs.

On the other hand, if there had been a meeting place, Oscar Wallén believes that the optimal thing would not have been to place it in a smaller town, but in a larger city.

- If it is a small town, the physical meeting place can be scary.

That if you are not openly gay like me, because then you may not dare to go there, he says.

However, Wallén is positive about meeting places and believes that it is always positive to meet like-minded people.

Furthermore, he believes that one should take advantage of the meeting places that already exist in the county.

- It would be best if we could make the meeting places that already exist today more LGBTQI-friendly, says Oscar Wallén.
