Munich (dpa / lby) - The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office is getting bigger.

It should get 100 additional jobs by 2025.

"We will grow up by 2025, which is very encouraging," said LKA President Harald Pickert of the German Press Agency in Munich.

In addition to police officers, his authority has a particular need in the IT area.

"We need the staff there," said Pickert.

After all, the LKA is also a service provider for the entire Bavarian police in the IT sector and is also repeatedly involved in nationwide projects.

In the meantime, "50 percent law enforcement officers and 50 percent others" worked in the LKA, said Pickert.

This included IT specialists, administrative officials and natural scientists.

According to the LKA, around 330 people are currently working in the IT department of the authority.

From Pickert's point of view, it could be “ten percent more”.
