Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The Hessian Minister of Social Affairs Kai Klose (Greens) informed today (11.00 a.m.) about the inpatient supply situation in Hesse.

Jürgen Graf, medical director at the Frankfurt University Hospital and head of the Ministry's inpatient planning staff, also comments on the situation of the clinics in view of the third wave of the corona pandemic.

Numerous new cases of corona infections have also been reported in Hesse in the past few days.

The incidence - i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days - fell slightly and was 164.6 on Friday throughout Hesse.

According to data from the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, there were 437 Covid 19 patients in the intensive care units of Hessian hospitals on Friday afternoon, 210 of whom were ventilated.

Only a good 200 of the intensive care beds available in 1957 were unoccupied.
