Berlin (dpa / bb) - Anyone who received a first vaccination with the Astrazeneca vaccine in Berlin will be vaccinated for the second time after twelve weeks.

This applies uniformly to both over 60-year-olds who receive another dose of this vaccine and to under 60-year-olds who receive an mRNA vaccine the second time, the Senate Department for Health announced on Sunday.

Biontech and Moderna are currently available for these Berliners.

The vaccinations of the over 60-year-olds will therefore be continued from May 5th on afternoon sessions in the vaccination center-Tempelhof.

Everyone who left their telephone number or email address when booking an appointment will receive a message.

If you have not provided any contact details, you can contact the vaccination hotline.

For those under 60, the new rule increases the interval between appointments from nine to twelve weeks.

These vaccinations would probably be offered in the Erika-Heß-Eisstadion vaccination center, it said.

The same applies here: If you have not provided any contact details, you can contact the vaccination hotline.
